the daphne festival 2022
The Daphne Festival, happening in London, Malta and online, will mark the fifth anniversary since the assassination of Maltese investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. It brings together human rights and press freedom organisations as well as journalists, artists, activists and campaigners from around the world to remember Daphne, celebrate the legacy of her work and highlight the ongoing campaign for justice.

Grande fête de la poésie méditerranéenne contemporaine, le Festival VOIX VIVES de Méditerranée en Méditerranée accueille pendant neuf jours au mois de juillet de nombreux poètes et des artistes venus de toutes les Méditerranée : Méditerranée latine, d’Afrique, des Balkans, d’Orient ou encore de celle que l’Histoire a « exportée » dans le monde (Amérique du Sud, Amérique centrale, Afrique de l’Ouest, Francophonie…).

Imagine: if around a hundred authors originating from all European countries were able to get together to undertake a bus tour across the continent, simultaneously overcoming the boundaries and borders that others are striving to rebuild, as well as creating a text together, then that would surely be a start. At a time when division and separatism are being preached all around us and people are starting to live in fear of one another, it becomes even more important that we come together to celebrate and uphold the freedom and solidarity that the arts can offer.
